My recent stay at the Fontaine in Krakow was delightful. The cozy room featured a kitchenette, perfect for preparing snacks after a long day exploring the stunning main square. The vibrant Christmas market nearby added a festive charm, enhancing my experience despite the many stairs one must climb for access.

Consider requesting a room on a lower floor if you prefer quieter nights, as street noise can be noticeable.

We had a blast exploring Krakow and even took a fun day trip to the Salt Mine! The apartment was spacious enough for our family and two dogs, making it a comfortable base. Plus, the vibrant atmosphere outside our door was just amazing.
My kids wished for a real play area for downtime.

I spent three nights at the Fontaine in Krakow. Location was amazing, right on the main square—the heart of the city. I loved being able to step outside and have cafes, shops, and sights right at my doorstep. My room had decent size and came equipped with a kettle, fridge, and microwave, which made it easy for snacks. The air conditioning worked well, ensuring I stayed comfortable during my stay. getting to my room involved climbing four flights of stairs—no elevator, so this could be a challenge if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. The decor in my room felt a bit outdated, needing some attention. I found multiple grey hairs in my bed. The shower drain was blocked on occasion, leading to quite a mess. Although the staff were friendly and addressed my needs, I found myself without any help during the after-hours when issues arose. Despite these inconveniences, I felt safe and enjoyed my time due to the vibrant location and the helpfulness of the reception staff.

The historical charm of the building truly stands out, with slanted ceilings and exposed beams adding a nice touch to the quaint room. A huge bathroom featuring a deep soaking tub offers a relaxing experience after a long day of exploring.
Be prepared for the absence of an elevator—if you're on the top floor, expect to tackle a hefty number of stairs, which can be quite an ordeal with heavy luggage. The dining area is a mixed bag. while it's convenient, the lack of replenished tea and coffee supplies during the stay was a letdown. noise from the street can seep in despite double-glazing, making it a bit challenging to sleep soundly.

The superb location near the main square offered easy access to local shops and cafes, enhancing the stay. Friendly staff were always ready to assist, making the experience more enjoyable. the lack of a clean and properly functioning shower drain caused inconvenience, and the rooms could use a refresh in decor and cleanliness. frequent street noise might disturb light sleepers, making it hard to rest despite the cozy atmosphere.

the location was amazin! right in the heart of krakow old town, you can’t get much better. the staff was super friendly and helped us with transport. the room was clean and comfy. We had a nice little fridge and microwave which was great for snacks. even tho there were lots of stairs, it felt safe and cozy!
the mattress really needs an upgrade, we didn’t sleep too well. also, it was kinda noisy due to the street below, especially on weekends.
